Every dose due on the ward in time order, overdue doses in red, and the five rights checked on every dose.

A medication chart (MAR) for nurses. It shows every dose that is due, in time order. A nurse records each dose in one click and confirms the five rights. Missed or refused doses need a reason.
Ward nurses, who give the medicines. Nurses in charge, who need to see what is due and what is late. Nurses get their own simple screen, separate from the admin screens.
A dose due at 2 pm is still not given at 4 pm, and nobody knows.
Handwritten charts are unclear and are easy to fill in after the fact.
A dose was not given, but the chart does not say why.
The next shift cannot see what was given and what is still due.
Every dose due on the ward, sorted by time. Each line shows the patient, MRN, bed, drug, dose, route and frequency.
A dose past its time is shown in bold red and marked "Overdue".
Press "Administer", choose the outcome and save. The dose given is recorded with the nurse's name and the time.
Confirm the right patient, right drug, right dose, right route and right time before saving.
If a dose is refused by the patient, withheld or omitted, a reason must be written before it can be saved.
Scheduled doses and PRN (as-needed) doses are marked clearly. Filter the list by route.
Once a dose is recorded as given, refused, withheld or omitted, it is saved as its own entry with who recorded it and when. It cannot be edited afterwards. A correction is saved as a new entry that points back to the first one.
Every module works on the same patients, admissions and beds. Nothing is typed twice. See the related modules:
MAR means medication administration record. It is the chart nurses use to record every dose given to an admitted patient.
The nurse chooses "Refused by patient" and must write a reason. The dose is saved as refused, with the reason and the nurse's name.
No. Nurses sign in to their own nursing screen. Each role sees only the screens it needs.
They tick the five rights and record how the patient was identified, for example by a manual check or verbal confirmation.
